Coverage

The PAF file covers every known address in the UK and extracts can be taken either by postcode area or as a full supply (28 million address locations). A sample of the paf file can be found by clicking paf file, this will also provide you with the data fields that are provided for each record.

Supply Format

The paf file can be supplied as either a delimited text file or as an Access database. Due to the size of the file, Excel will not be an option as Excel limits any file size to around 65,000 rows / records.

Depending on the size of the output file we can either supply on CD DVD or via our secure ftp site. If you require the Royal Mail Postcodes File supplied in another format then we will be more than happy to accommodate you where humanly reasonable to do so at no extra cost.

Licensing

PAF is licensed for each Personal Computer that has access to it. Other options for system licences and internet licences are also available. Prices for the paf file are £50 per Postcode Area or £300 per full UK file excluding VAT - please contact us for internet, shared system or transaction based pricing.

Accuracy

The PAF file is the most up-to-date and complete address database available for UK addresses, containing a mixture of business and residential sites and over 28 million addresses. For your licence fee you will receive the very latest file which will be valid for 12 months use and a six month refresh of that file to ensure it stays up to date.
