We are so confident about the accuracy of our lists that we guarantee our addresses and telephone numbers* to be within the Direct Marketing Association (DMA) accuracy tolerances of 94%. Therefore, we offer to buy back any gone-aways or wrong telephone numbers found to fall below this tolerance.
A typical telephone or mailing b2b list universe (no matter how large) will decay at around 30% per annum. If contact names and email addresses are held then this figure can be as much as 50-60% per annum. To emphasise a point, the Royal Mail makes circa 11,000 postcode changes per annum; splitting postcodes that are densely populated, changing mail sort codes, introducing new postcodes for industrial parks and new buildings etc. Each postcode will on average effect 200 consumers and circa 50 business. If contact details are held, such as a persons name or email address, consider asking yourself how many times you have changed your email address, moved employment, moved premises? Now multiply this by the 50 million people in the UK. That is allot of change. Perhaps you start to understand how powerful and comforting our Guarantee is?
In addition to the above guarantee, we ensure that all records our customers rent have either been telephone verified in the last twelve months, appear on Companies House (legal requirement for Companies House data to be accurate to within 2 months) or appears within the directory enquiry database.
Depending on your planned use of the data, we will ensure that all lists output are screened against the Mailing Preference and or Telephone Preference lists. From that point you have 28 days to use the list before it will need screening again. Failing to screen a list could result in a £5,000 fine.
Lists are sold on either a Rental or Lease basis. A rental allows the customer to use the list once within 28 days of purchase. Lease carries a higher cost but allows the customer to re-use the list as many times as they wish within a six month period.
All of our records are held at site level. That is to say all branches and divisions of a group will be held and sold as unique and individual records.
Every record leased or rented contains the following: Business Name, Full Postal Address, Telephone Number, Business Type Classification (what the business does at site level). Approximately 75% of the record on our database will hold actual employee size (number of employees or full time equivalent operating from the site). In addition, 50% of our records will carry an actual turnover value where this information has been filed at Companies House. Where possible, contact names are also provided with records (see below).
Approximatly 85% of our records carry a senior contact name (excludes PAF which carries just address records). On the whole there are several contact name positions to choose from, specifcaly Managing Director, Owner, Proprietor, Sales or Marketing Manager, IT and or Finance manager. We have in many instances several contact names per record along with their job title / position. The problem is that in a company that employees dozens of people, this contact may not be the right person to receive your offer. Our recommendation is that you thoroughly research the right job title and then capture and append your own contact names to our lists before mailing. Any information you capture is yours to keep and will not need to be deleted when the list rental / lease order expires. If we do have the job title you're looking for the most senior contact we spoke to at the time of update then all the better.
*We cannot extend this guarantee to a contact name due to the frequency of change.
