You're going to need the very latest UK postcode file (1.7 million postcodes representing every deliverable address in the UK). This file is updated and provided quarterly. It's important to update the file frequently as around 6,000 postcode or address changes are made every month making it hard to find an address using old files, as the postcodes between your database and the one supplied will simply not match.

You're also going to need a full delivery address file containing over 28 million house hold and business addresses. As you can imagine this is a very large file that will need to be hosted and indexed properly to provide instant search integration. You will also need a large database application that can handle the full file.

To make life a little easier for you, we will output the file in four segments by postcode area ranges. This will allow you to view the file using MS Access or another database application.

Data can be supplied at premise level which provides a unique record for each one of the 28 million UK addresses.

Grid references can be appended to the PAF data for the appropriate licence fee or licenced separately for mapping and GIS applications.

PAF Data Coverage

PAF can be purchased as a full UK database or by individual Postcode Areas (e.g. UB, RG).

Data Supply Format

PAF can be supplied as either tab delimited text files or as an Access database. Depending on size data will either be supplied on CD or via List-Logic secure ftp site.
